1 bkup then Cloud on?? No disk list on disk bkup

Thread needs solution

Just upgraded to windows 10 and TI 2016. It backed up my disk once. Next try got error dialog then the destination defaulted to Cloud and there is NO partition map when I select disk backup and disk destination. Happens full or short list.

How did Cloud Trial get turned on after 1st successful disk to disk backup.

Cloud destination is the default location for the application for destination of backups. You must manually select a different destination if one is desired. You can do so by clicking on the default Cloud destination in the GUI which will then change to a selection of alternatives for you. Use the browse feature to select and alternative disk/folder location.

Enchanted, thanks for your response.

I have obviously not have described my problem correctly. The destination Browse disk location choice works correctly and I can choose either internal or external disks.

The problem is the SOURCE. It starts as ENTIRE PC, but with ZERO bytes. I click it and choose DISKS AND PARTITIONS. It opens with a BLANK screen to choose which disk except for the Long/Short List link. Clicking that link results in no change in the otherwise blank screen.

This also happens when I choose DESTINATION first and select a HDD then try SOURCE. There is No Way to choose a SOURCE disk.

I also noticed that when I login to my Acronis account I have a Trial Cloud and no way to STOP it!

If I recall correctly I downloaded the installer from my Acronis browser account. It upgraded me to 2016 from 2015, both installed in 10, and might not have requested my upgrade license.

You should try to repair the TI installation as what you describe is not normal. Using Windows Add and Remove Programs feature select the Acronis True Image app and choose uninstall. You will be presented with an installer window from which you can choose Repair. May not work but is worth a try.
