2016 backup question

Thread needs solution

When I shutdown my PC, before I get the shutdown notice, I get a message the Acronis is finishing up and the PC will shutdown in a couple of minutes. When I open Acronis, it shows complete PC is backing up to undefined? One suggestion I've read was to go into my account as an administrator and delete all scheduled events. I've not found out how to get into my account to do this. What now, I don't really know where the PC is being backed up to?

Warren, Acronis should always be run from an Administrator account in order to have the correct required authorities / privileges.

Check in the main ATI GUI and see if you see a backup task shown there that matches the one you see at shutdown - if shown, then either remove that task if it is not wanted, or else reselect the Destination location that the task will use to store files.

If you want to clear out all Scheduled Acronis tasks, then download the Acronis Scheduler Manager tool (link below) and run this as Administrator.

This will open a black command window.  Type the command 'task zap' and all scheduled tasks will be removed.  You can then reconfigure the schedule for any of your tasks in the main GUI.
