Accesing v.2013 backup with v.2016
Hi all,
right after (how else...) upgrading my machine to Win 10 one of my discs chose to finally let it go. Couldn't install Acronis 2013 on Win 10 so I decided to go with v.2016 for recovery.
Right now I am clueless on how to proceed - backup was found and accesible immediatly with the current version and I also can browse and have a look at my files in the related folder on my backup HDD.
Right click dialogue for mounting results in an error due to no partitions contained in the backup.
Standard processing shows me all files and folders counted up but recovery onl provides emtpy folders no matter if selecting latest backup or 'all versions'.
What am I doing wrong?
Please feel free to move this post to 'Older Versions' if preferred.
Thanks in advance!

I am sure that ATI 2016 can only be used to recover images created by ATI 2016, 2015 and 2014.
see: 1689: Backup Archive Compatibility Across Different Product Versions
which says that this is the case.
ATI 2015 can be used to recover backups created by ATI 2013; all you need is an ATI 2015 recovery disk. I suggest contacting Acronis technical support who may be able to give you access to ATI 2015 recovery disk image.

Many thanks, Colin for your swift reply! When I read your post earlier today I was like ' d'oh! ' for not having considered such :)
But I luckily am currently watching the progress bar (which will for the next 2 hours ^^) proceed as Ian's suggest did the trick - installed v.2015 and all went smooth \o/ :D
Ian - great! Found a download link for v.2015 in the support-archives, no need for waking up the desk boys, and as soon as my data is back I'll start a new backup with v.2016.
