Acronis Nonstop Backup Services Consuming High Resources
Yesterday I installed the latest build of TI (Build 5620) on my PC. Today I was sitting in front of my PC and noticed that my fans were running at a high rate of speed and when I looked at task Manager in Windows 10 Pro it told me that CDP services was consuming anywhere from 13% to 19% of my CPU and the fans were adjusting there speed to the rate in which the CPU percentage went up and down. I do not recall this amount of CPU consumption on prior versions of TI so I chatted with Tech Support.
In my case I only do full system backups to a 4 TB hard drive that I use exclusively for TI backups and only when I launch TI and initiate the backups manually as I don't have the hard drive turned on unless I'm about to perform a full system backup. Based on my usage the Tech suggested that I could disable the Nonstop Backup Service (afcdpsvc) and when I did my fans spun down and my CPU usage dropped to virtually zero since I wasn't running anything else at this time.
If anyone else is seeing this high COU usage from this service can you please report it to Tech Support?

Bharat, welcome to these public User Forums.
I would recommend creating a new forum topic for your issue with ACPHO in the Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office Forum (formerly Acronis True Image 2021) forum, plus also opening a support case directly with Acronis Support for this issue.
Note: yours if the first post that I have seen reporting high CPU for the NSB feature of ACPHO but there have been a number of topics related to build 40338 and in particular for the realtime protection feature.

My non-stop backup service (afcdpsrv.exe) has started chewing up 15% of the CPU (8 code i7-7700K @4.2GHz)
Nothing has changed and disk usage is minimal (almost zero). No changes exist that need to be backed up - It's just taking up a whole core of CPU for monitoring (it would seem)
Hello Bharat!
Please raise a ticket with our support at https://kb.acronis.com/content/8153
That issue should be investigated so we can take conclusions about what's causing the behavior.
If you have any issues during the process, please let me know so I can take further measures.
Thanks in advance!
