Acronis Rescue Media Builder (known bugs since version 2015)

Thread needs solution

I just bought TI2016 Version 5576. I create a new USB stick with rescue media builder. First i was pleasantly suprised about the new 64 bit version of TI, but then the disappointment: since version 2015...

1. You can't disable unwanted enties (like Acronis System Report)

2. The autostart option doesn't work. Although you can activate the checkbox "autostart" an the "time" but it has no effect on the creation of the stick. After booting a stick with that options there is no autostart!

3. And finally, it's not possible to create an USB stick with TI _AND_ DD 64 bit (DiscDirector) on the same stick. I know: If TI and DD is installed on the system and you create a USB stick with the media builder of TI, the 32 bit version of DD will automatically integrated on the stick, but what about the 64 bit version of DD?
But it gets even better: If you use the rescue media builder of DiscDirector, you get another surface while creating the stick: you can check/uncheck unwanted entries, the autostart option works fine, 64 bit version of DD is shown, even TI will shown in the autostart option... That's how it should be! But if you want to create the stick, you get an error message "0x18000B" This error message only appears, if you use the media builder of DiscDirector and want to integrate TI on the stick.

Very annoying: This problem has been known since 2 years!

Hi Andre,

in current versions of Acronis True Image and Acronis Disk Director we don't support creating bootable media with components of both program. There are too many differences in them to make it possible at the moment.
We created a feature request (or rather enhancement) and it was forwarded to development. In future it might be implemented if it will be found reasonable in terms of program design.

As for excluding System report from the bootable media, I'll also forward your feedback to development team. However, it would be helpful to get more information on why you want to remove this option.

And can you please provide more details on auto start option? Do I understand correctly that you specify startup parametres? Which ones?

Thank you,

Unable to Create Bootable Rescue Disc in my Dell Latitude E5530, Win 10 using DVD. Tried several times: Unable to create bootable media. Invalid media. Provide another media and try again. I did not have problem on my Dell OptiPlex 7010.
