Acronis TI Interfering with shut down

Thread needs solution

Sometimes when I shut down my windows 10 computer I get this message. It will hang up much longer than two minutes. I haven't had the patience to let it go all night, but I have let it go for at least an hour before I just use the power button to shut down. How can I prevent this hang up?

Alan, there have been quite a few reports in the forum of this issue with a variety of answers given as to why.

See https://forum.acronis.com/forum/114264 for one of the more recent reports and
https://forum.acronis.com/forum/113188 for another report.

See also https://kb.acronis.com/SchedulerManager for the Acronis Scheduler Manager utility that you can use to try to see what might be happening in terms of any active tasks - you would need to use this before starting the shutdown.

This does seem to be a bug that some experience - it's listed as a pending bug fix so hopefully it will be fixed soon.  In the meantime, uninstalling (cleantool) and reinstalling usually does the trick - I'd recommend doing it anyway if you upgraded from a previous version, or upgraded your OS to Win 10 with ATIH already installed.

Clean uninstall / reinstall procedures

I know that Ekaterina posted somewhere that this was a confirmed bug that is scheduled to be fixed, but I can't find the post to reference here - if anyone finds it, please add as well.

OK, I was wrong and that's why I couldnt' find it.  It was Gaidar who posted that is being fixed in the application:

For now though, the clean uninstall / reinstall should take care of it.
