Acronis True Image 2016
I sure would like to buy this program on my new PC !
But Try&Decide must be compatible with SSD, with Win7 x64 on it !
Is it also compatible with the latest UEFI-bios ??
I can not find an answer for my questions , so have to wait ......
Also, can we upgrade from Acronis True Image 2012/2013 ??
Why cant we find an answer for these questions??

So this means we are not able to upgrade from previous version ??
Not so good, guess we have to buy it,without upgrading. I will do so, coz have very good experience with Acr. 2014,but this was on HDD and no UEFI-bios.
Only have to know, before I buy, can we use it on SSD with OS on it, this means for T&D too !

FINALLY -
On my second drive - a PCIe SSD M2 - uninstalled 2015 - d/l another copy of the .exe from Digital River - it installed fine - activated w/o issues.
Whether the upgrade process was flawed, the file d/l was flawed, or I was flawed, I have no idea. I do know not all things work as designed the 1st time every time.
The UI is a little different, easy to set up backups. I'd suggest trying 2016, then buy if you like it.

We dont need the program installed for making backups, the CD is all you need !!
If I install ATIH 2016 I will do it only ( yes, only! ) for the T&D-function , but it has to be very reliable for SSD ..........

TBH - I don't have the patience to wait for something to run off a DVD.
I have a PCIe ssd, and a a PCIe M2 ssd, ATI works fine on them both for backups.
I boot to a Recovery USB drive for restoring images.
To each his own...:-)

Well, its very new and could be buggy too, so better wait till next version and all,or most, bugs in this software are gone !
Have seen people with a totally messed-up system coz they were too fast with trying things out.
Do you want to gamble with your OS ............not me !
good luck,man !

Hi Piet,
Yes, you can upgrade from older verstions too.
As for Try and Decide feature, it does support SSDs and UEFI. To make sure that like the program and the was it works on your system, just install a trial version of software.
Thank you,

I got this message after attempting to start Try&Decide "Failed to start Try&Decide"
I have Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and it's on Samsung SM951 512GB M.2 PCI-e ACHI SSD.

Ok,thank you,so if I want to buy and install on a new PC may I install the 2016-version first, or do I have installed an older version before Im allowed to upgrade ?
I do hope Im allowed to install the 2016-version only, with this upgrade.
Guess have to insert two keys, one from the oldest and one from the 2016-version ?

You do not have to install the old version; during installation you will be asked for the serial number of the new version and the old version that you are upgrading. (It is possible that you may only be asked for the old serial number.)
This is based on my experience with ATI 2015 so there may be some minor differences in the process. But definitely no need to install the old version first.

Just tried the program on my new SSD with Win7 x64 on it, seems to work fine , only ONE THING; you can not reboot in Try-modus with "continue" ,if you click "continue" you start again have to make a choise; discard or continue ,and you are in a reboot-loop,only way is ; discard chances for restarting in Windows again !!
This means ; we can not use T&D when a reboot is required ,because you can only discard the chances you have made.
This is a big dissapointment, what am I doing wrong ??
Please ,help !!

Its not possible anymore to "continue in Try-modus" ,after restart in Try-modus !!
Only discard or save chances ??
HELP,PLEASE!!

Problem has not been solved with latest update, still not possible to click on "continue" in the blue T&D-screen ,it gives you the endless reboot back in the bleu screen again, only way to reboot into Windows again is by clicking on "discard" .
This means you can not use T&D if a reboot is required in Try-modus !!
We have to wait for another update.........??
