Acronis True Image 2016 Clone of Windows 10 not alowing access to Recovery Option?

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I am trying to figure out how to clone a client’s OS to a new SSD drive for his laptop.

I am experimenting on his SSD trying to clone my Windows 10 to it.

I am putting the cloned SSD into a different computer to test it. I can access the Windows 10 clone on the new SSD but I am unable to access the recovery options.

I would like to see if I can restore it to factory specs so that I can do the same when I actually do this for his Windows 10.

So, why can I not access the recovery option here? And what can I do to access it.

Will I need to do the Acronis Total Recovery option? (Correct name for this option???)

Anyhow, any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

John

Hi John, what do you mean by "I can access the Windows 10 clone on the new SSD but I am unable to access the recovery options." Do you mean that you are using the cloned drive to boot-up on a different system? If so, please confirm that you have cloned that system to the new SSD rather than the clients' drive. Please confirm that you are using ATI 2016 (which is getting on ... latest version is ATI 2018).

You should also have a look at this thread (it is in the 2017 section by the comments apply equally to ATI 2016).
