Acronis True Image 2016 Task Canceled but How do I Remove Icon from SysTray

Thread needs solution

Hello. I have been having an issue with my attached network drives lately and was trying to change the setup (they were connected to my router, I was moving them back onto my desk) when I noticed that Acronis was trying to do the backup but wasn't able to find the drive. I canceled the job but the red box with the X in it is still in my system tray and I can't seem to figure out how to make it go away. I hope someone can help. Thank you and be blessed! Amanda

Amanda, welcome to these User Forums.

The most effective way of killing the cancelled job is as follows:

First, open the Windows Services.MSC control panel, then stop all active Acronis Services.

Next, open Windows Task Manager and end all active Acronis processes / programs.

Note: the order above is important as if the services are not stopped first, then they will relaunch any ended Acronis processes after you end them!
