Acronis True Image Not Recognizing Ethernet Network Card on Laptop

Thread needs solution

For some reason Acronis True Image 2016 will not recognize the Ethernet Adapter on a Dell Latitiude E5570.

I have tested the Laptop and was able to join my Domain as well as establish a Static IP with the Laptop plugged into the Ethernet Card.

When I do the same for a Desktop, I do not have this issue at all.

Please help! (I've included a picture)

Jason (picture is missing).

The default Acronis media is Linux and currently does not have the NIC drivers for some of the latest intel Nic's.  Here are two work-a-rounds:

1) FREE:  download the Windows 10 ADK from Microsoft (it can be installed on Win 7, 8, 8.1. and 10). Once installed (select just the 3 top options - roughly 3.65gb to install), go back into Acronis and rebuild your rescue media.  This time though, select WinPE.  It will use the ADK you just installed to create it with the default Windows 10 drivers which should work for these newer Nics

2) A small cost - but super convenient for these types of scenarios:  Purchase a USB 3.0 to gigabit ethernet adapter - almost all of these use the same generic hardware inside and the default Linux media detects these just fine.  They also come in handy for systems that don't have a NIC (like the surface Pro 4 or other Windows tablet devices).  Peronally, I like the ones that also have some extra USB ports on them, but that adds to the price a little bit.

Bobbo,

Not sure why the picture wouldn't attach or display.. oh well. We are going with the USB 3.0 to see if this will solve the issue. Thank you for the help!
