Acronis Universal Recovery
I'm trying to move the hard drive from my dead HP notebook to a newer one using Acronis Universal Recovery. When I go into tools and click on Acronis Universal Recovery and then click on Download the program does not download anything and I am stumped. I have searched Acronis and the web for a solution but have found none. I just started using Acronis True Image 2016 but find that my support has already expired. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong or what is wrong? All help appreciated. I've used version 2012 for years but only to clone drives
Thanks,
Jim Jinks

Recovery issues are always supported - not being able to restore to another system (clone) should be covered. However, you should be able to download UR installer from your account and if that's not working for some reason, tech support should be able to help with account issues for free too. Have you tried a different web browser to see if that helps with the download issue (perhaps it's a config issue or clearing our browser cache/history/ etc would help). Try Chrome if using IE or Edge. I hate Edge and will fall back to IE if I have no other choice.

Thanks to all for your help. I have now been able to make the download and install it on this hard drive. I have checked all sources except this on for information as to how to put the linux kernel parameters in the text box provided. can more than one be used & if what is the proper way to seperate them in the text box. Thanks again for any help. As you can tell I have never done this before, been using acronis for years but only to clone drives.
Thanks,
Jim

What parameters are you looking for? They are pretty basic, and do not support an automated option:
Bootable media startup parameters
I've never used them myself though, so am not familiar with them. When you set them in the rescue media builder, they get built into your rescue media so you'd have to create a rescue media and test it out. Ultimately though, it does not automate any features, so am not sure what your goal with the parameters really is?
Screenshots of where you are trying to make adjustments may help?
