all incremental backups needed?
I did a full backup a while ago and now have 10 incremental backups that are taking up tons of space. Can I delete all the incremental backups other than the most recent one? or are they all needed to have everything backed up?
or should i just do full backups once a month?
thanks

Ditto to 256edg.
In most cases, you want to setup a cleanup task to keep backps groomed up. Because incrementals are highly dependent upon the entire chain being in place and in good standing, you don't want to go to long (or have too many). In most IT shops, a backup job with 1 full and 6 daily incrementals would be pretty standard and something I'd be comfortable using at home, although, I don't trust any single backup so I also offset with a second backup where the full is on opposite days and then I mix that second backup up with differentials as well and store it on a different device.
Not sure what your backup requirements and space limiations are, but if using incrementals, just be aware that the longer you run them and the more you have, the riskier your recovery chances become. For some, a week is fine, for others a month. It really depends on how much you value your data and how much time you're willing to back to get a good recovery (your last full) if there ever is an issue with your incremental backup plan.
