ATI 2016 Build 5620 cannot restore individual files

Thread needs solution

I needed to restore a huge set of folders today, but whenever I go to my backup set and try to choose the folders to restore (from the tree display in ATI build 5620), the program crashes! What good is a backup program if you can't get your data out of it?

No luck finding a solution in the (lack of) Knowledge Base. Does anyone know of a workaround? Thanks.

Try repeating the restore after booting into the user created TI Recovey CD. Do the restore from the CD.

If the Recovery CD actually worked, that might be an option. When I launch TI from the CD, however, I get the text that the program is loading, then the screen just goes black and stays that way... forever. I've left it alone for up to 90 minutes and no change. This happens regardless of whether I launch the 32-bit or 64-bit versions.

This software has totally let me down when I need it most.

Sometimes, in some computers, you need to temporarily change the bios to boot into legacy mode and then after finished with the CD,
reset the bios back to what it was before.

Another option is to get help from Acronis. Acronis advertises help with recovey issues.
This link (courtesty of user Joey) shows where to select the recovery option on the support ticket.
Your 2016 serial must be registered in order to get Acronis support via Live Chat.

Thanks. The legacy bios option does nothing to help. I sent in a request for a refund. The 2016 "update" is not ready for prime time.
