ATI 2016 error 'Reconnecting' (HDD cloud backup)

Hello,

I run ATI 2016 for my HDD and 2 external drives.

The daily scheduled backups for the 2 external drives work perfectly.

I have been getting for 3 days a 'Reconnecting' error for the daily HDD backup.

The log file shows:

Switching to next Wan Optimizator Server

Fallback to work without wan optimizator.

Reason: Switch Count exceeded

My internet connection is ok and nothing else is faulty.

Win 10 64-bit.

Does anybody have a clue about what is going wrong ?

Hello, please see the following documents that may be of help with this issue:

KB Document: 56772: Acronis True Image Cloud: Troubleshooting Family Dashboard - see in particular points 4,5 & 6.

KB Document: 47145: Acronis Cloud Connection Verification Tool - this offers some tools to help check the connection to the Cloud storage servers.

I would also recommend downloading a copy of the Log File Viewer App from this forum and using this to look at the various log files that may be created for this problem and offer more details on what the problem is.

Points 4, 5 and 6 OK + Acronis Cloud Connection Verfification Tool also OK.

Here is the message in the log file (I put 'crosses' to hide whatever could be private) + there are 2 error codes, but it looks like the software is going wrong before those error codes.

i have the same error. "Connect lost. Reconnecting" since 3 days. 

I haven't changed any settings.. Reboot does not help.

Are these "local" UsB drives attached directly the machine or hosted off of a network share?  This seems to suggest that this a a networking type of issue/error.

"New Connection Attempt"

"WAN Optimizator"

Furthermore, the particular network error could relate to a compromised Cisco Router (http://searchnetworking.techtarget.com/news/4500253705/ICYMI-FireEye-de…) or any number of different WAN (wide area network) optimiziation utilities to pass traffice across a wide area  network.

I don't think it has to do with a problem on my end.

I have 2 backups (for 2 external disks) working perfectly.

The error is for the HDD.

I have chosen 3 different server locations for the 3 backups.

The faulty backup (HDD) uses the Cloud server in Germany, the rest use UK + US.

Hi LouLou,

I would definitely reach out to tech support andd open a case with them if I was you.  They may very well be having some type of error with certain servers or be able to help identify the issue as it relates to the cloud. Unfortunately, in the forums, we don't have any oversite about the background Acronis services, networking, servers, etc. so, we probably aren't much help from this end.

The first Backup working perfectly but the second has an error.
