ATI 2016 - Shutdown option not working as expected

Thread needs solution

Hi everyone,

The following problem appears on several PCs running Windows 7 (both 32 and 64bits) equipped with at least 4GB ram and a Samsung SSD 840 Pro 256GB. The scheduled task is an incremential backup to a NAS via SMB.

Since I upgraded from ATI 2013 to ATI 2016, the "Shutdown computer after completion" does not work, but the backup task is correctly completed.

I already tried to check the "Silent mode" option but the result is the same : the computer stays on.

Is there any workaround or tip to resolve this problem?

Thanks in advance.

If you are still using tasks created in prior versions, my recommendation would be to stop using those tasks and create all new 2016 tasks.

GH12. Create Custom Incremental Backup Scheme w/auto cleanup.
...Keep Full plus 6 Inc per chain. Store/Keep 4 chains. Use whatever number best fits your needs.
Editing an existing task is not recommended. Rarely does an edited task perform to user expectations. It is usually better to start with a new task using a new non-identical task name and point to a new storage sub-folder so each task has it own storage folder/sub-folder. Old task can be stopped or deleted from the task listings.
