ATI 2016 - update 6569 fails

Thread needs solution

I am offerred the latest update at each computer start, but when I run the process, the update fails. Even after having downloaded the 6569 installer from my account and runnig it as admin, I get an error.

The error is "Acces denied".

This is quite annoying, so I would like to find a solution for it.

The access denied error seems to be occurring on machines that are bit older in age and may have older Legacy hardware which might interfer with the installer.  It is recomended in such cases to first uninstall the existing application from the machine and then reinstall using the downloaded version as admin.

I will uniunstall and try again. However, this is a very new machine. Bought in January 2016 and all software here is a clean install. So this shouldnźt be a reason. No legacy hardware here, I think.

One more tip is that certain anti-virus applications have been found to block the installer as well so when you run the installer you should disable such software prior to running the install package.
