ATI 2016/Win 10 - can not view files in back up
I am using ATI 2016 build 6595 with Win 10. I recently ran a back up of the entire C drive with out error. I clicked on the backup file in Explorer and the progress bar almost completes but never does. I also tried to view the files in the back up file through ATI but no luck.I backed up to an external Toshiba HD. Suggestions?

Was your backup of the entire C drive created as a Disks & Partitions backup image, or did you make a Files & Folders backup image?
What file system is being used on your external Toshiba HDD drive?
Are you able to open other ATI .tib files in Explorer and in the ATI GUI on this same computer?
See KB 60915: Acronis True Image: repairing program settings - which may be needed if all .tib files cannot be opened.
I backed up the entire C drive. The Toshiba drive uses the NTFS file system. I can not open any the tib files with either Explorer or in the ATI GUI. I will look at KB 60915 and let you know if all is well.

I can view files in a .tib file if I mount it but not otherwise. Is that the way it should work?

Thomas, you should be able to view the contents of your backups either via the Recovery option in the main ATI GUI application, or else by simply double-clicking on a .tib file in Windows Explorer which uses shell integration by ATI.

I ran Avast Cleanup Premium and cleaned up the registry. I can now open the backup files via Win 10 explorer without a delay!!

Thomas, thanks for the update and good to read that you have got this feature working again, but strange that cleaning the registry should do this!
