ATIH 2016 and Overclocking

Thread needs solution

Has anyone ever had an issue getting ATIH 2016 to successfully complete a backup on a system that is overclocked (CPU, memory and GPU) ?

I have a system that runs without problem while overclocked, but whenever ATIH 2016 is run, it crashes about 20% into the backup. This occurs whether backing up from the ATIH UEFI disc or in Windows 10.

Your overclock may be unstable.  Most OC will only be running at full speed when stressed.  Are you overclocking CPU and memory as well?  I have a 6500K at 4.3 and 2300Mhz memory at 3000Mhz and am not having any issues.  You may want to throttle your OC back a little.  Or run a stress test with prime95 for at least 30 minutes with your current settings and see how that fares too.

Bobbo_3C0X1,

A 1% CPU reduction in performance managed to get ATIH 2016 to successfully complete backups reliably.

Good deal. Yeah, it's tough to find the sweet spot in some boards and not all CPUs are created equal. I've seen air cooled out perform water cooled with like, but different CPUs. Main thing is you're running stable now.
