B6027 Customer requested changes still missing

Thread needs solution

It seems that Acronis are still not listening to thgeir customers!

- The sign in box when the product starts cannot be turned off if you dont use online services

- Processes that are not required are still running

- Still can't delete backups from within the product without booting from a CD

- Still no easy way to find log files

- No easy way to add macro's to the backup file name @date@, @time@, @task@ etc...

Need I continue...

we get constant uneccessary GUI changes but NEVER what we really want from the product. Each new version gets worse from a useability aspect IMHO and has been doing this for a number of years.

I would concur!

What sign-in box are you writing about?  I do not use Acronis cloud, and I've not seen any sign-in box when I open the program.

Ron, you don't get a sign-in screen when you start True Image?  And it is 2016?

I initially bought 2 copies of ATI 2015, but when I had a problem (which turned out not to be the fault of ATI at all) and went to the support section of the Acronis site, I saw the offer to upgrade to 2016 for free since I had purchased 2015 so late in its product cycle, so I accepted the offer.  The product I have registered is called "Acronis True Image Cloud 2016" in the products list.  I was under the impression that this was the only 2016 version... but is it possible there is a non-cloud version?

The 2015 edition was not called a cloud edition, but it did come with the 1 year cloud subscription, which was transferred to 2016 when I did the upgrade.

Yes, 2016 comes in two versions.

Acronis True Image 2016 which is non-clould like past versions and do not expire.

Acronis True Image Cloud (Release 2016) is subscription based and expires if not renewed.

Acronis True Image 2016 and Acronis True Image Cloud (Release 2016)

I use the 2016 cloud version but do not use the cloud function.  I have the log in screen reference by user RayG which I must cancel before TI main menu appears.

Well actually I see that they listen to some of the feedback. Actually 6027 has fixed a lot of reported issues, on the other hand brought some new.

one feature request was that the backup job pane should be resizeable - done
another feature request was about renaming jobs and this would affect new backup files, which did not concur before afaik.  - done

I do concur with your criticsm generally that Acronis should try to keep the pace and release updates more frequently, and be more active to answer threads that are reporting issues, especially reproducible ones. While they read everything sometimes it is a matter of feeling lost if the feedback is accepted - with a few exceptions - you will not get feedback also except from some MVP and volunteers.

It would be great if 2-3 officials could actively care just about this forum to bring this product into a perfect shape. This would also include cleaning, merging and purging... but well... the costs..
