Backup Failed - Cannot find path specified...log attached

Thread needs solution

Dear all,

I have created a new task to make a weekly backup/image of the hard drive to an external hard drive (E:).

The task starts successfully but after a few minutes when it is starting to write data to the external hard disk, an error pop ups that the 'specified path doesn't/exist / file doesn't exist.

On the external hard drive I can find the file but with 0 file size.  (so the file is created but not 'filled' with backup data).

Error log is attached.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Thank you

Wim, welcome to these user forums & thank you for the log file information.

The issue looks to be related to writing to your external drive E: and I would suggest running a CHKDSK /F against that drive in case the issue is related to the file index or similar drive file information.

If you have a spare USB stick, you could try creating a very small, simple backup of a folder or some files to that target drive to confirm that all looks to be OK otherwise.
