Backup is fine, but restore bombs!

Thread needs solution

I've been using the 2013 version and decided to try out the 2016 one. Backing up is smooth and gives me no problems. Now, when I try to restore to another HDD it hangs up. Oddly, when I use the 2013 software to do the same restore (on the backup that I did with 2016) I have no problem.
To expand: I am using a dual-boot system with Windows 10 and Linux Mint 17. My initial screen gives the dual-boot options. Booting to Win10 goes fine, but the Linux one hangs up halfway through the process on the 2016-restored version.
Anyone have any ideas?
Except from the "look" I see no difference in speed or function between 2013 which I own and 2016 which I am "auditioning".

I'm having the same issue, trying to restore individual files (entire directories) from the current version. Everything backed up and validated fine, but when I try to select files from the tree display in ATI, the program crashes EVERY SINGLE TIME! The only time in the last three years that I've needed my backup in an emergency, and I'm high and dry without a functioning restoration. What a pile of junk!

Be advised that customer support is ongoing on a continuous basis from Acronis Support for issues with failure to perform restore operations. Restore failures are not limited to the 30 day support term of the product.

I would suggest that you run a repair install on the application for starters. You can do this by using Windows Remove Programs tool. Find Acronis True Image in the list of installed apps and choose the uninstall option. Thus will bring up a menu where you will find the repair option.

Thank you for this tip... I will try that and report my result.
