Backup jobs are deleted after one use

Thread needs solution

I went through the trouble several times to configure a backup job for my Windows 8 tablet which includes selecting which folder on my external drive to save the image and which type of backup I wanted (version chain). I then named the backup job (e.g. Acer Tablet Image). The full backup runs and I close TI. When I return the next day the backup job (Acer Tablet Image) is gone and replaced with the generic backup job which has none of the settings I saved. How do I permanently save the job so I can return to it and simply click Run, Go, etc. and continue the version chain? Thanks.

Create a new backup task as per example GH12 which has automatic cleanup so manual deletion is not needed.

One explanation as to what happened to you is that you may not have saved the task.  Check out the provided link on saving a non-scheduled backup so you can perform manual backups in the future via the "Back up now" option.
