Backup from NAS doesnt work.
Hello, i have got Acronis True Image 2016 and Windows 10.
I try to backup some folders from my Network-Drive. The Data is on a QNAP-NAS and included as a Network-Drive in my Windows 10 as R:\\Data...
When i choose the Source and Destination and try to backup, theres a "!" and Acronis shows: "0x40014" Error - No access.
function="WNETAddConnection3W", path= "\\NAS-01",
$mudule="ti_demon_vs_6559"
and so on.
All other applications don't have any problems with accessing that network-drive.
Even the previous Acronis-Version on windows 7 didnt havve any Problems.
What can I do?
If i choose the R-Drive as Destination, it works perfectly, by the way.
Thanks for help!

What you describe sounds like permission issues to me. The network share you are using needs to have your user permissions set to full control or Read, Write, and Modify enabled. Check this on your NAS.

Thats the LOG:
These folders are included as Network-Drives, and can permanently be seen in Windows Explorerer. There iv'e got all rights like reading, writing etc.

Still looks like permissions errors to me, the cannot be found statements are classic for permissions issues.

Thank you. For me too. But where can I re-enter the Username and Password for my NAS? Can't find it. Maybe that would solve the Problem. but as i said, make a Backup FROM my PC TO NAS works fine.
Thx.

Please review the 58004 link that Steve provided and clear the Credentials from Windows registry. That will trigger the Creddentials entry box. If that is the issue then it should begin working. I think though that the issue is on you NAS and not your Windows machine.

Eike,
The easiest way is to use regedit...The password and user name that ATI uses are located in the registry at the following location:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Acronis\Connections\smb\YourNASNAME
You should exit ATI, then navigate to the location and delete the password and username. Deleting the username and password will not impact other ATI tasks, as the username and password for the other tasks are stored in another file.
Reboot your computer, then call up ATI. Build a new task for the backup, and when you select the source, ATI should ask for credentials.

Thank you FtrPilot,
now it prompted Name+Password and it's working now. I just wondered, because i never changes the Admin-Password and till Feburary it worked...
But the way to re-enter the Password is not easy. I think people that dont use the Computer that much might have some difficulties to do that. Wonder that theres not a Menu for chanching the PW.
But thank you, Eike Brückner, Germany.

Eike,
I am glad that you were able to resolve this issue...and thanks for providing feedback.
Please check back next week...there will be a new version of the log viewer posted at the link provided by Steve S.
