Bitlocker large backup file size bug resolved?

Thread needs solution

I am facing the bug from ver 2015 where a backup file of a bitlocker disk is larger than it should be, "Disk backup with a bitlocker-encrypted partition is too large".

Is that bug resolved in the latest release of 2016? I do not see that indicated anywhere in release notes. All I see is "Bitlocker-encrypted partitions support" which is not something new to v2016 unless that is referring to Cloud, which I an NOT concerned about.

I did not have this issue prior to updating 2015 to build 6613.

My recollection is that with ATI 2015 if bitlocker was use on a HDD you had to use sector-by-sector backup. Somewhere I saw a reference to this not being the case with ATI 2016. I created backups for entire partition, full directory, and individual files encrypted by bitlocker (Windows 10 pro 64) and the full range of backup options was available. I was able to successyly access and recover files from the backup.

One user has reported issues when using Windows 7.1 Enterprise 64.
