I think we'll need more information to assist.  However, please check to see how much free space is available on your destination backup disk.  Is there enough for the backup to complete?  How is the backup disk connected (internal to the computer, USB, network share, etc)? If space is not an issue, you may want to verify the integrity of your backup disk by opening an elevated command prompt in Windows and running check disk on it:

chkdsk C: /F /R    (replace C: with the letter of the actual drive) though.  Probably a good idea to run it on both the source and destination disks to verify each of them.

When I have had a bad source disk and it had a bad sector, the backup hung with this same message in the application.  However, there was actually a second pop-up message behind the Acronis main window that I never saw originally.  I minimized Acronis and saw the pop-up and told it to ignore the bad sector and it continued with the backup job.
