Bootable USB Stick

Thread needs solution

TI 2016: I generated a bootable USB stick but it does not work.

1. created an .iso file with the rescue media builder
2. wrote it with rufus on a stick

The problem is not in the bios. The boot order there is set to USB first and with the .iso burnt on a CD it works fine.

How can i create a working bootalbe USB stick?

thanks.

Gery, you do not need to use Rufus to create a bootable USB stick - you can do this directly from the Acronis Rescue Media Builder tool without having to create an ISO image first.

The key for all USB media is to use a USB stick of between just 2GB and maximum 32GB size, and it needs to be formatted as FAT32.

See KB 56610: Acronis True Image 2016: Creating Bootable Media

The USB media should be connected to your computer before launching the media builder tool.

Thanks Steve. It works fine that way.
