Buils 6569 Main GUI Doesn't load
I have had the following problem since I installed Build 6569.
When I first install 6569, everything works fine. However when I turn off the computer, later start it up again and launch ATI2016, the main GUI does not load. The app must be working as the scheduled backups execute properly.
I have tried downloading the build from the website again, doing a clean uninstall and re-installing, and I get the exact same chain of events.
Suggestions?

I have the same problem after updating to 6569. The list of prior backups is blank. I created some new backups with scheduled run times. The backups are created but none are listed. I need to edit the schedule but no backups are shown to edit.
I followed the above advice and stopped 5 Acronis Services. I am using Windows 7 and have the option enabled to Show all hidden files/ folders and system files, however, but can not find the Database folder. Note: I have a Program Files (x86)/Acronis/True Image Home with sub folders of
imageformats |
Locales |
platforms |
sqldrivers |
WinPE |
x64 |
and Program Files (x86)/Common Files/Acronis with a long list of directories, none of which are Database.

I do not have a ProgramData folder. The only folders I have on my C Drive are:
Intel |
NVIDIA |
PerfLogs |
PowerSpec |
Program Files |
Program Files (x86) |
temp |
Users |
Windows |

It's there. This is a default folder in Windows, regardless of the version you have installed with Win 7 and up. You should be able to see it with hidden files/folders enabled though. Try copying and pasting into your Startbutton search bar and pressing enter after that
C:\ProgramData
alternatively, to verify it exists, open an elevated command prompt (search for "cmd", right click and select "run as administrator" and navigate to it via
cd c:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome (then press enter)
Dir (then press enter - you should see the database folder listed
REN Database Database.old (then press enter - this will rename Database to Database.old)

Bobbo,
Mucho thanks for your help. I got it to work. Interesting that the Search did not find it but the Command line prompts worked. I did have Show Hidden Files/Folders enabled.
Thanks Again!

Glad to help out! Hopefully, Acronis will be able to add this as a tool or directly into the application down the road as this is pretty easy to do and seems to resolve a lot of these weird issues withotu having to repair or reinstall the software. If possible, please submit feedback through the app and referecne this thread as well with your thoughts on what could make this process better. The user feedback submitted to Acronis directly (and not through the user forum) is really critical in helping to shape the product to make it more functional and easier to use.

Sweet! this has been working for quite a few people. I don't think the last v6559 / v6569 in app upgrades faired too well for a lot of people even after getting succcessful messages. For those with issues after the in app upgrades, hopefully this is all they need this go around. I've just gotten in the habit of going online and manually downloading the upgrades and installing so that I can right click and "run as administrator" after making sure Acronis has completely closed down and that has been pretty reliable for me. Hopefully Acronis has the bugs worked out after seeing these issues in these 2 upgrades and things will go more smoothly in the next ones again.
