"Calculating time remaining"

Thread needs solution

Very new to this program and a little lost.

I have a full backup with incrimentals going. There is more then a tb of space left my portable drive. The incrimentals are about 4 gigs so lots of room. For the last few days the system will not shut down showing Acronis is still working (It's hung). There is no way to stop the program or at least the stop does nothing.

On another note I have tried several times to get the program to send reports to my email but hav had no luck. Tried the exact same settings as my Outlook but when I hit test it fails.

Let me know where to go next.

Thanks

I have attached the system report.

Hello Mark, and welcome to these user forums.

Thank you for your System Report which includes copies of the logs for your backup task and which show that you are attempting to perform a backup of your 'Entire PC' and that this has been constantly failing for several different reasons, including cannot find particular backup image files, and disk full messages.

Your backup Seagate drive has about 1TB of free space.

Your Entire PC backup includes the following drives:

C: 920GB with 183GB free
D: 10GB with 1.5GB free
F: 931GB with 10.5GB free
G: 100MB with 60MB free
H: 920GB with 812GB free
I: 10.9GB with 1.6GB free

Total disk size = 2.7TB with free disk space = 1TB meaning you are backing up 1.7TB of data to a drive with only 1TB of free space.  Acronis typically can achieve between 20 - 30% compression of data depending on the data content type, if you have lots of photos or music files, then these are already highly compressed and a much lower compression rate will be achieved.

I would recommend trying a different backup type, selecting an individual disk drive and all of its partitions and backing this up separately, then create a second backup task for your second hard disk drive and all its partitions.

See the ATIH 2016 User Guide for help on Backing up disks and partitions.
