Cannot delete backup task

Thread needs solution

I have several different types of backups defined. I tried to define a continuous backup and then changed my mind and decided to use a backup that happened every 2 hours and I just abandoned the continuous backp.

I made the continous backp "do not schedule" so it wouldn't run because I couldn't delete it. Right clicking on the backup and selecting delete won't work. Is there anyplace in the registry or something where I can go to remove it from the list of backup job to run?

thanks

Scripts are located at C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts ..... programdata is a hidden folder so you may need to enable hidden folders first in Windows Explorer.

There will be files for each script.  Copy (don't cut and paste) them to a new location (just to be on the safe side).  You can then open them with notepad and look for the one that you want to delete.  Once you have identified the correct one, you may be able to just delete it from there.  However, I would recommend not doing that while Acronis is running.  Instead, close down ATIH (stop all ATIH services in computer management - usually 4 or 5 of them all with "Acronis" in the name,  and then check taskmanager to make sure there are no active Acronis applications after that as well).

Then you can (safely) manually remove the script from the original location  C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts.

Once removed, you then need to start all of the ATIH services in computer management again (or just reboot - might be faster to reboot) and launch Acronis again.  The old scheduled task should be gone.
