Cannot enter password with rescue CD

I just made a rescue CD with True Image 2016. The CD boots fine, but I cannot access my backup. The backup is password protected. When I select the backup to open it, the "enter password" window opens and immediately starts filling with keystrokes, as if a key is being held down or something. Is this a driver issue? I have a Logitech 710+ keyboard and a G700s mouse. I can access the backup through the acronis software (running windows rather than the recovery CD) with no issues. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm going to see if I can dig up a simple USB keyboard to see if that fixes the issue...
