Cannot transfer Acronis True Image 2016 (Perpetual License) to a new PC

I have several licenses for Acronis True Image 2016 (Perpetual License).

I just replaced my old notebook with a new one and want to transfer a license to a new computer.
I have installed the software to the new notebook, and when I launch it, I am asked to sign in to my Acronis account. When I do, I get the following error:


I tried to do this several time, but get the same error.

In one of the posts I read that the error could be related to the license being used on too many machines.

I went to the Product page in my account and clicke option to transfer the license.  I get the following error:

 Does anybody know what is going on?  How could I transfer and use my perpetual license on a new notebook?

Richard, for all versions of Acronis prior to 2017 you now need to follow the offline activation process which essentially means you need to isolate the machine from the internet then generate a code that you input to the Acronis web site shown on the screen on another PC.
