Centralised Home Backups?

Thread needs solution

Is there any Acronis product for centralised home backups?

Something that allows me to remotely configure the backups on clients, and set a central location for the storage of backups  Similar to Microsoft Home Server, or Windows 2012 Essentials (or urbackup).

I'm after image based, bare metal backups - file backups are well covered.

I think you might accomplish this using the Dashboard feature of the TI 2016 product.  The setup of this requires internet connection and use of the Cloud based backup system to configure the clients but if I am not mistaken you can configure the backups to any network location either locally or to the Acronis Cloud solution.  Once configured the admin has the ability to control things then from one PC.

Bear in mind here that I do not use this feature but I do believe that it does have the capability to do this.

At this time, you cannot create the backup schemes centrally or edit them. At least this is not working for me. I suppose that ATI wlll implement this later?

You'd have to create the backup schemes locally on each computer. You can set up a local or a clould destination for these backups. If found that storing the images on the cloud is not really practical.

Then, if all computers are using the same Acronis account, you can use the dashboard to trigger the backup tasks and verify they have completed. The computer just need to be on and connected to the Internet for it to be visible in the dashboard.

Since you need a single Acronis account for all the computers, you'd have to purchase the license for all your computers.
