clonig of MBR HDD in a Marvell Raid (raid1) with two 4tb HDDs

Thread needs solution

My problem is that if I use the windows options of acronis true image cloning there are no options to change the "disc formate" in GPT. Its´s the same thing if I use the manual option in the cloning menue of acronis true options under win 7 64.

I tried one cloning and the raid is bootable but only with a capacity of 2 tb. unfortunately there are no option to change the type of disc in GPT and use the disc with acapacity of 4 tb.

Is there are any way to convert the bootable dics in the GPt during the cloning process?

Welcome Karsten,

First, are you cloning the drives or are you restoring a backup .tib file?

From your description I think your are restroing a backup.  Raid disks are not supported by the clone tool so cloning seems unlikely.

If you need your target disks as GPT partition style then I would recommend converting them to GPT prior to performing the restore.  You can do that by using Windows Diskpart utility from an admin command prompt if you are comfortable doing so.

I tried different versions of "restoring".

The classic cloning with installed single Hdd, with installed raid1 and with a backup that I tried to restoring.

The results are the same. The process of cloning or restoring stops at the point of the "copying of the partitions".

The HDD´s works )red activity light) but there is no progress in the green progess-indicator of the cloning process for hours.

I used a boot DVD with a booted Uefi computer. Acronis doesn´t said any error massage.

I solved the first problem with a only 2tb partition.
