Cloud Backups from TIH 2016

Thread needs solution

Hello, just installed a new Dell and getting everything in order. Tonight I panicked when I couldn't get two file backups to go to Acronis Cloud and uninstalled and reinstalled. Of course now I read that Acronis is having issues with the Cloud from within TIH.

Currently performing a backup to hard drive.

Here's my question then - when the servers can finally communicate with TIH, will my previous backups show and will the PC be ready to backup on schedule? Once before I reinstalled and while the backup jopbs showed, the minute I hit reconfigure it was like starting from scratch and a 65GB assortment of files took 24 hours to backup.

Thanks for the help.

Bruce, I'd assume yes in all instances of your questions.  It just looks like the Acronis servers are down or something is preventing communication to them at this time.  Once communication is restored, existing backups that were hosted there should still be available and your existing backup jobs to the cloud should still function.

I can't verify or confirm this, but there's really no reason it should not work once it comes back online.

I would not reconfigure the backup job on your machine while the cloud is not working - just in case.

At times, my cloud backup will shows a larger amount to backup with a longer time, but this is because it is scanning files on teh system still.  Usually, it then only backs up what it needs to.  I'm no cloud expert though.  Unfortunately, we have no idea how the cloud works on the Acronis side, so Cloud questions are best directed to Acronis Technical Support as you have full covered technical support during your active Cloud registration period.
