Thread needs solution

I created backup tasks a few weeks ago and have done a few backups
Today when I tried to do them Acronis seems confused because Windows 10 mounted my external drive as E: instead of D: as it had done before.

So I just edited the backup task to point to where my backups are and let it run.

Is this going to cause problems?

I don't know about 2016, but previous versions of Acronis would often get confused if settings were changed. For future reference, you can change the drive letter of the external drive you attach via Computer Management, after which, windows should recognize the drive whenever you attach it and assign the same letter to it. As an extra precaution, it's usually best to assign a letter that other drives might not look for, like P:, Q:, Z:, etc. Then, create a new Acronis task and you should be good to go.
