Delete backups

Thread needs solution

Evening All,

I had a number backups previously created in Acronis 2016 - They were located on an external drive.

I thought I needed to get more experience with Acronis and as I have some time on my hands, I thought I would delete all the backups and create a completely fresh one (at the same time freeing up disk space on my external drive)

So - Using Acronis preferred method I right click on the backup (MY_PC) and chose delete.  There were at the time 6 backups.  They have now all gone according to Acronis.

However when I look in the backup folder on the External drive two of them are still present, one I created on 21/10/2015 and one I created last night 10/10/2015 but Acronis is saying I have no backup.

How can I remove these using the Acronis way?

Kind Regards

You can add those backups to the list of backups as described in the link below.  Once added you can choose to delete them and the settings for them.

Hi thanks for the swift response, but I have now tried as suggest and get the following response.

Please see attached screenshots, add = the backup I am trying to add & add2 is the error.

Hopefully I can get this resloved soon as I am starting to feel a little vulnerable.

Kind Regards

Since these files are either corrupt or are missing incremental or differential versions the application is not recognizing them as valid therefore the application will not add the backups to the backup list.  Since you do not need these and the application does not deem then valid you could just delete them using Windows Explorer and you should be fine.

I question however that you say that a backup you created last night gives the same error?  That might indicate some other problem with the application or possibly the hard drive in your computer.
