Differential Backup still prompts for manual action even when ignore errors is selected
I've been a long time Acronis fan, I always suggest it to my customers when they need a backup solution.
I prefer the Classic Acronis pre-2016, the new 2016 version works really... crumsy is a way to put it, the interface is BAD! and it doesn't automatically recover from errors even when you have enabled the option to ignore all errors.
The idea to use differential backup, is to make the backuptime faster and smaller, but some machines are not ON during the scheduled time, so the next day when the machine is ON, and the differential backup runs, it considers the missed day as an error, and then it prompts the user to IGNORE so that it can create a new full backup instead of creating a next set of differential from the previous full backup.
This is not the way it's supposed to work, it supposed to just do another differential backup or full backup without user interaction following the scheduled task.
Is there a way to Fix that?
By the way the error message dissapear very quickly in Windows 10, and it doesn't stay/remains in the system tray.
The only kind of backup that can work properly without user intervention with 2016 is by doing a Full Backup everday, but that takes forever and is too heavy on the network bandwidth.
I'm open to suggestion to setup another kind of "End User" fool prof backup that doesn't require end user interaction with the Acronis GUI.
I'll appreciate any possible solution.

Normally, you would only get a popup with "Ignore" when performing a validation and there are missing files (which have been deleted, moved using Windows Explorer or possibly because the machine was off overnight).
Do you have any validations scheduled?
If this is not caused by scheduled validations, then Enchantech's recommendation to uninstall & reinstall is your best way forward.

Your installation of 2016, was this an upgrade to a previous version or a clean install of the 2016 product? If this was not a clean install then the behavior you are seeing may be a result of upgrading the product. If you are willing you might try to uninstall the app, run the cleanup tool linked below, and reinstall the application again. This has solved many issues users have experienced with the product.
It is a clean install of Acronis 2016 in a new clean install of Win10.
Not an upgrade.

Thank you this is helpful.
I'll try disabling the verification, to see if that prevents the ignore pop-ups.
I've all the Scheduled Backups to run at 11:00pm and do a verification after the backup is complete.
As you mentioned, sometimes the users turns off the machine and then it misses the Scheduled Backup, at the next Scheduled execution it will always complain that it's missing a backup and will not proceed to backup unless it's executed manually, which then asks you to hit ignore to create a new set.
That in itself doesn't seems right, it should continue to create a backup unattended regardless if yesterday's backup happened or not.
I don't recall seeing this problem in previous versions of Acronis True Image before.

I don't believe Acronis would agree. If the backup failed to run, they would want it to be run later, but Acronis would have comment.
A couple things you can try but I am not sure either would work.
1. Change the default error setting under "Backup Options" so there is no retry.
2. Change the scheduler setting/advance to that the "run if missed" is NOT checked.

Please do report your issues with the feedback option. It is how things get fixed around here. I am not sure how much the backup scheduler has changed in the current version vs. previous releases but I can say it has changed. I would say that the more stringent schedule rules for a backup complaining about a missed schduled task are due to attempts to remedy backup database corruption which happened frequently in past versions. The corruption of the daabase is still an issue to date but seems to me to be less so with 2016.

I think this was most likely the cause, I changed it to NOT checked, that should prevent asking End Users to run the backup
Advanced --> Error Handling --> "Repeat backup if a backup fails" (selected by default)
Ok, I've combined both suggestions (no verification, not run missed backup), lets see how it performs in the next couple of days.

Update, in case anyone encounters the same problem.
Disabling verification helped reduce total backup time and speed up the process, as used less network bandwidth by skipping the verification.
Disabling Repeat backup if fails took care of the anoying error message that kept coming up asking the user to run the backup manually. Now the backup seems continues on its own, even when the previous backup failed, but only if there was a Full backup
If the first set of Full Backup is missing, it will continue to produce the error and prompt for manual intervention.

Could you please use "send feedback" feature under Help tab of the software and mark checkbox "attach system report"? This will send diagnostic logs to us and will help Acronis developers if they will be changing software behavior in the future.
