Discrepancy between tib file size and backup size shown in Trueimage
According to Windows Explorer, my C drive contains 84GB of data and when I backed it up with TrueImage the tib file is 71 GB. So far so good. However, in TrueImage's Backup window the "Last Backup" size is reported as 107 GB. Why this discrepancy?

Ditto to Steve. If you right click on your backup folder in Windows File Explorer and check properties, the size should match the total size displayed in Acronis (assuming each backup job is in its own folder).

Thanks, guys. You say the "Last Backup" size is a cumulative total of my backup file sizes, not a single file size, but as far as I'm aware I have only one backup of the C drive, so I'm not clear where the "cumulative" comes in. To be clear, I have one tib file covering the C backup (which was a full backup not an incremental one) and if I check the Properties of the backup folder, as suggested by Bobbo, it reports 78.5GB. This is made up of two tib files: a 70.9GB file for my C drive and a 7.6GB file for my E drive backup.
Sorry if I'm being a bit dense! Your help is much appreciated.

Peter, some screen shots of the folders and images etc would help, plus one of the Acronis GUI showing the backup size to compare with.

Thanks, Steve. Here is the TrueImage GUI page and another screencap showing the tib files (on the right) and my C drive properties (on the left). Hope this helps.

Peter, thanks for the screen images, this is a little bit of a puzzle just looking at the images.
On your ATIH GUI image, you are including at least 2 partitions, one being your hidden EFI System Partition, another being your MAIN (C: drive) partition, are there any other partitions being included in the source data to make up the size to 107.0GB as shown in the image?
You may need to click on the Source selection panel in the GUI to check this, but I suspect that you may have other hidden partitions included that will not show up in windows Explorer, i.e. Recovery partitions?

Steve, here is a screencap of the Backup Source page. As far as I know, there are no hidden partitions being included in the backup. How would I find them, if they exist? Thanks for your continuing support.

Peter, thanks for the further image which just shows what I saw earlier, your hidden EFI System Partition at 100MB (0.1GB) plus your MAIN C: partition at 84.2GB.
The only other question to ask here is if you have deleted any old backup files through Windows Explorer?
Please try running a Validation for your backup task and see if it still shows a size of 107.0GB? If the validation gives any error message(s) for any missing backups, then take the option to Ignore it/them.

Steve: Aha, that's it! I seem to recall deleting an old tib backup file via Windows Explorer a while back. I've now run "Validate", as you suggested, and TrueImage is reporting a Last Backup Total Size of 70.9GB. So, mystery solved! Thanks again for your help.

Peter, thanks for giving feedback on this question. The issue with deleting backup files outside of the ATIH application is that it leaves information in the Acronis Database files for the missing files which in turn can give misleading information. Running the validation helps to reconcile the backup file status and correct the database files.
