Does Acronis 2016 really need 8 processes running?

Thread needs solution

I am running Acronis 2016 on an old Dell Optiplex GX280 with 4GB of Ram.  My CPU is running at 100% most of the time and slow.  I know I need a new PC, but not now.  Before I uninstall Acronis, and reinstall it when I need it, does it really need 8 processes running?  I'm looking at:

    > Acronis File Level CDP (Time Machine) Service

        Acronis Nonstop Backup Service

   > Acronis Scheduler Service

       Acronis Scheduler2 Service

  Acronis Scheduler Service Helper

  Acronis TIB Mounter Monitor

  Acronis True Image 2016 Monitor

Acronis True Image 2016 Sync Agent Service

I use Acronis to backup every couple of months or so, so are all of these really needed?  When I look at Performance, the CPU shows 105 Processes, 1409 Threads, and 49269 Handles.  So every process I can reduce, helps my performance.

Warren, please take a read of KB 56697: Acronis True Image 2016: Services and Processes  and use this to determine which services can be stopped / disabled to reduce the performance impact on your computer.

You may also like to follow the Useful Links section here in the forum and look at the link for MVP User Tools and Tutorials where there are some batch command files that you can use to quickly stop or start Acronis Services more easily instead of needing to do so manually.  These tools are hosted on Google Drive hence the link will take you away from the forum.
