Don't need no fancy car!(backup program)

Thread needs solution

I apologize in advance if anyone has asked this question. Is there anyway to shut off features with this program? I don't need it to take 2 or 3 min to shutdown my system(which it does when I shutdown. I also do not need it to do what it does in the background. (It keeps saying "operation failed" in the side tray) I just want it to backup and restore WHAT AND WHEN I TELL IT TO! I used to have True Image 2010...worked like a champ! No crashes, it didn't seem to have any issues, and it seemed that I had more control. but this version (2016)..meh!

Thank you in advance for your help

Do you have a scheduled backup task (task are scheduled daily by default)

What OS are you running?

THank you.  I have 2 computers: 1 is running Win 7 and the other has Win 8.1 and I have the scheduled task turn off

Are you using Non-stop backup? Please explain exactly what you are trying to accopmplish.

For what it is worth, I have the same "problem". Not really a problem, but I am curious why this happens.

All my tasks are run manually. No cloud sync stuff.

All in all there is too little transparency into what this program is doing.

Hello all,

If you experience the issue by the system shutdown Acronis True Image is terminating the current operations, please wait, please refer to the following thread.

Thank you,

To all:

Thank you for your responses!

To Acronis: Look, on your next update just put in features that give the user more control over what is happening on his/her computer. Part of my issue is that True Image 2016 keeps trying to save to a drive that isn't in the system. I use a dock and put in a drive and backup at that time. Like I said before True Image 2010 had WAY better options. I read the thread that Ekaterina Surkova placed and it's interesting but like other posters have said: you can't make a screen shot while the system is shutting down. Now maybe there at ACRONIS HQ, that have the software/hardware assets to do just that. I'm just a user with limited assets. Give me more control!
