E-Mail Notification Subject Line Problem starting with build 6027
Prior to installing the update to build 6027 which was released just the week, e-mail notifications always contained a sujbect line with the computer name and indicating if the job was successful, failed or waiting for user interaction. Now with the latest build (6027) the e-mail notification subject line reads only "True Image Notification from (comptuer name)". No indication of success or failure. This means I have to open every e-mail notificaiton and scroll down through the entire detailed log entry to the last line, just to see if the operation was successful or not. And since I get notifications from multiple PC's this wastes a lot of time. And I do not want to turn off the "add full log to the notification" as I do want the log to have when there is a failure.
All setting on the notifications tab are the same as they were before with the previous build when this issue did not exist. All items in Additional Notification Setting are checked.
Please fix this bug that resulted from the upgrade to 6027.

CT - Thank you for your reminder about the "close in 2 minutes", I forgot to mention that one. Yes this is a big annoyance as it delays every shutdown or restart!
If Acronis does not fix these issues I may take your suggestion to go back to a previous version. Is there a location on the Acronis website where they make the previous builds available for download and if so, do you have a link?
Thanks!

Jeff - I am sorry but I don't know how to get the previous version from the Acronis Website.
I used my original Acronis 2016 (build 5576) download that I have saved on my PC.
Acronis will not allow build 5576 to be installed over 6027, so you need to uninstall build 6027.
When you re-instated build 5576 take care to install the Current Version only, as Acronis defaults to installing with updates, on its initial screen.
NB: Please be aware that you will probable have to recreate all your backup jobs (settings/notification/schedule etc), and manually remove previous backed up data, as I found that my new backup was labelled as: "b1.. tib" instead of "b9.. tib" (as it would have been had I continued with build 6027).
Hope this helps, if you deside to go down this route.

Hi Jeff I can confirm the behaviour that you are reporting and this really needs a fix. Now a user is forced to check the email log and inspect the last line of that one.

hi guys someone posted a workaround for this:

Karl -
Thanks! The workaround does work for me, although it is a pain to do on multiple PC's. Hope someone at Acronis actually reads this!

great thanks for the feedback Jeff as I haven't yet tried it myself but others. Yes I really hope this gets a fix most of all as it seems to be an unintended typo in the script file
I think they changed the script file to address the issue of this disk signature fail error someone else posted.

Thanks Jim and Gerhard,
To get the task name plus the task results to appear as the email subject line, no workaround necessay.
============================================================
During the task and notification creation, click on the "Show Extended Settigs"
and delete all content of the subject line so a greyed out subject line appears.
Save the task. See illustration below. It works or at least it does for me.
======================================================================
======================================================================
PS: While I do not recommend editing an existing task, it is possible to edit and delete the email subject line as shown above from within an existing task same as when creating new task.
=======================================================================
To save a new task without running a backup during the task save, use this procedure.

Thanks GroverH. Either way, it is a pain to have to go to each PC I have, each with multiple backup jobs, and make the fix just because of an upgrage from Acronis. This, along with the Acronis software slowing down every shut down or reboot while Acronis puts up a message to wait for 2 minutes, are the biggest problems I have with this upgrade.

" This, along with the Acronis software slowing down every shut down or reboot while Acronis puts up a message to wait for 2 minutes, are the biggest problems I have with this upgrade." we should make a seperate thread on this (again) as I have expierenced this in very strange situations.
