error

Thread needs solution

I am not a techie so this could be easy but need help...I keep getting a pop up on my desktop, small rectangle, with Acronis name on it, saying "operation has failed".  Multiple times a day...when I open Acronis on my desktop and choose options, it has the box checked "Do Not Schedule" any back ups....so there is nothing going on there that I know, where it is trying to do any back up.... How do I eliminate this erroneous and annoying pop up?

Thanks much

Don, welcome to this user forum.

I would recommend downloading and using the Acronis Scheduler Manager to check for and remove any residual scheduled tasks that may be causing the error message pop-up.

Run the schedmgr.exe program from the above link which will open a Command prompt type window, then run the command get list which will show you a list of existing scheduled task entries, next run the command task zap which will remove all those entries.

Thank you very much.  I tried it and it came back without any tasks or scheduling showing....any other fix?

thanks,

Don...welcome to these user forums.

I recommend you download the Log Viewer App:

Take a look at all of the different type logs and see if any of them have error messages.

ATI can have 4 or 5 background tasks and up to 6 services running in the background, even if there are no backup tasks running.  My guess is that one of these background tasks/services is causing the problem.
