Error 1114
I recently upgraded to Windows 10 Pro from Windows 7 Pro via the Microsoft Windows Update procedure. Prior to that upgrade I uninstalled the previous version of Acronis True Image and installed version 2016 build 5634. After the upgrade I was notified that a newer version was available. I downloaded it and ran it for the update. All seemed to go fine, except on exit from the install I got the 1114 error message. However, when I rebooted and started True Image it ran fine and I backed up my in Windows 10 installation.
Now, when I try to run the "Rescue Media Builder" I get the 1114 error, even though I'm now at build 6027. I have tried the work around in the KB article, "add TrueImage.exe to Switchable Graphics and set it to High Performance" and that has no effect before or after a reboot.
Any ideas???....RDK

DD12 is not certified to work with Windows 10.
If it were me, I would run the TI 2015 cleanup utility (my signature item 4 below) which will uninstall both TI and DD and do some cleanup.
Then do a new install of 2016 only. Do not install DD12. Use the DD12 Recovery CD if you need DD for a function.
Note the cleanup utility has some text instructions which require user edit of the registry.
When all done, then create new backup tasks.

Thanks
OK, On the Windows 10 Pro machine I will uninstall both Disk Director and True Image 2016, and then run the Cleanup Utility, Correct? After the registry edits, then reboot and re-install True Image 2016. Will this fix the "Error 1114" issue? Will it re-register with Acronis using the same serial number?
Not clear what I should do with the Windows 7 Pro Office machine, see my second note above.
Thanks.....RDK

RDK,
Visit the Acronis Support site and sign in to your account. Download the latest version of TI there. Run the cleanup utility as Grover says then install the new version of TI, version 6027. The fixed issues list reports that the 114 error has been fixed.
Fixed issues
This release includes the following issue fixes, increased stability, and performance improvements:
- Multiple issues while signing in to an Acronis account.
- Occasional issues with performance of the user interface.
- A newly created backup is not in focus.
- The default file sync disappears after the application update.
- The error "Unable to create a database" appears on the application start.
- The error "LoadLibrary failed with error 1114..." appears on Windows 10.
- The backed up devices do not appear on Online Dashboard.

OK, I have followed your instructions for both my machines: The Windows 7 Pro Office PC and the newly converted Windows 10 Pro Laptop.
I removed/uninstalled both True Image 2016 and Disk Director (12 on the Office PC and 11 on my Laptop). Then I ran the Cleanup routine. I checked on the registry keys and no changes needed to be made. Rebooted and reinstalled True Image 2016. Rebooted and both will create backups. HOWEVER, the Windows 10 Pro Laptop will not create the restore boot CD, the old error 1114. The Windows 7 Pro Office PC is able to create the boot disk no problems
As an experiment I went to my wife's Laptop which was upgraded to Windows 10 Home at the same time as I upgraded my Laptop. Her version of True Image 2106 works flawlessly, backups and creates the restore CD.
Next steps for my Laptop???....RDK

For now, use her Recovery CD on your machine. The CD is generic and not specific to any specific machine.

Agreed, but that does not address the problem and I don't like inconsistencies. Are we sure the rest of the True Image 2016 program is/will run correctly?....RDK
