Error on boot - non system disc press any key
Hi,
I've just purchased Acronis True Image 2016, and tried to clone my sons laptop drive to a new SSD for him. I did this using my desktop. The drives were connected by USB, 1 laptop drive to a new SSD (USB). It then said I needed to reboot so I said yes. Still not sure why it needed to reboot when they were USB drives.
The desktop rebooted and got stuck on the BIOS screen. :( so I removed both USB drives and turned it off and on again. Now I get a "non system disc - press any key to continue" message when I boot my desktop (minus the 2 usb drives). When I press a key it does boot but it's annoying all the same.
Any ideas how to get rid of this non system disc problem and what caused it? the BIOS is set correctly on boot order.
In the end I created a USB and did the two drives on my sons laptop for him.
Any help would be appriciated.
Cheers,
Michael
