[Feature Request] Show us the file names during a backup

Thread needs solution

I do a lot of video editing and use TI to make backups of personal files and project files i am working on. I have a dedicated subfolder for each video project that contains the project file/s for that project. Sometimes other files has been placed there by my by mistake, such as large Photoshop files that i don´t want nor need to backup.

In TI2014´s UI it was easy to follow the backup while it happened and see when it came to a halt on large files and as a result of that i could track down what file/files i need to remove from the backup or remove from their location. This has been very useful several times when one see that the resulting .tib file is larger that it is supposed to be.

In TI2016 i can only see "Backing up... xxx.x MB processed" and that is imo very limiting sometimes and i would prefer to see the name of the files the way i could in TI2014 during the backup. (See the attached image for TI2016)

I remeber once when i noticed in TI2014 that my .pst file for Microsoft Outlook took very long time to process. Then i realized that it was time to delete old mails and compress the file. Those things are in the long run time savers and thats why i want it back in TI2016.

UPDATE:
If i use the Sync feature each file name that is processed is showed to me. (See the attached image syncfilenames.png)
This is what i need to see when i do backups!

agree. would be nice to see what files and/or filesystems that are under backup process

It's been a very puzzling design choice for Acronis not to reveal which file(s) were included as part of an Incremental backup. I've tested True Image 2015, True Image 2016, Backup 11.5 and Backup Advanced 11.5, and none of them will show what changes were actually included in an incremental backup. Not that this is new to just the latest products; http://forum.acronis.com/forum/72998.

All of the products allow you to "view the files for a particular backup", but what they really mean is "all the files backed up to that particular date" and not "the file changes that were contained in just this specific backup." In Backup 11.5 and Backup Advanced 11.5, the data view of the catalog even allows you to view "custom period date range." But when you set the start and end date to just a single day on which an incremental backup ran, the view /still/ shows you "all files" that are part of the entire backup set and not "just the files backed up during the selected date range."

This seems so fundamental to being able to trust that your backups are happening as you expected. Are the files I'm assuming /should/ be backed up actually getting backed up? Or are some of them being skipped, and I need to select or de-select the "Fast Incremental/Differential" processing so that file content rather than size and time stamps are evaluated? When one of my incremental backups unexpectedly shows as having +2GB more data than I would have assumed, what file changes were being picked up? Is there an exclusion I might want to add because the extra +2GB of changes were not important enough to store?

Even using the highest-functioning Acronis Backup Advanced 11.5 product does not answer these questions for me.
