Go Back to Acronis 2016 - Acronis Cloud Not working

Thread needs solution

I recently upgraded my license from Aronis True Image 2016 to Acronis Cloud. I have decided I want to roll back to Acronis Aronis True Image 2016. I have several computers (I have a 5 PC license) and today I tried uninstalling Acronis Cloud via Windows/Control Panel/Uninstall. I then ran the serup file for ATI 2016. It asked to re-boot but on the way back up Windows said it was having problems and recommended I run the Windows Startup repair, (I'm sunning Windows 7 SP1 on this particular machine). It took several attempts of booting and repairing but eventually it resolved.

My question is: Do you see anything wrong with the steps I took to remove Cloud and re-install ATI 2016 or any reason doing so would corrupt Windows? During all the attempts the product failed many times and produced many system reports and I submitted each one to support (never heard anything back on any of them).

(I have requested a refund for my recent purchase of Acronis Cloud. I recently upgraded from Acronis 2016 to Cloud but am very unhappy with Cloud. I tried unsuccessfully to backup a 250GB SSD to the cloud and after multiple attempts and 2 weeks of trying I'm throwing in the towel. )

Kevin, there should have been no issue with the method you used to remove ATI 2016 Cloud via the Control Panel and reinstalling the ATIH 2016 version.  The only reason that I can think of that may cause a problem is if you had ASRM activated when you did the uninstall, this may have caused an issue with the Windows BCD store information - this needs to be deactivated before uninstalling.

The other method that you could have used is to restore a backup image from when you had the non Cloud version installed.
