hangover from previous installation?

Thread needs solution

Hi

I was having some issues with backups failing in Acronis Home 2014, so upgraded to 2016.  I deinstalled the previous version, but found my old backup jobs still there in the 2016 installation.  I deleted the job and recreated it and all was fine for a week or so.

Now I'm getting a backup failed the specified file does not exist.. BUT when I recreated the backup, I changed the directory it saves to and the name of the backup.. The file it is referencing is from the old backup!  Some hangover from before I deleted the job?..

This is probably occurring at the consolidation stage, which is why it hasn't shown up so far..

Any ideas how I can remove reference to that file? It is NOT part of my backup!

It sounds like you changed an existing task and put the new parameters in an existing task.

If true, I would start over with a completely new task and the task to have a new name and the new name on the storage folder.

Actually, I could have sworn I created a new task, with new name having deleted the old task. as evidenced by the fact that the file it says it cannot find is in a different folder and with the (different) old name.
