HELLO ACRONIS ? Are you monitoring your forums for Spam JERKS ?

Hello there Acronis.....
Are you kidding me ? ACRONIS...HELLO ????
Obviously, Acronis is not monitoring their forums... 12 pages of SPAM ????
I was amazed to see how long the SPAM post survived on your forum .
Maybe you need a forum admin in several time zones ?
The same thing happened about a week ago.... We all realize that these people are nothing but Spam JERKS but you really do need to monitor your forums 24/7 so that these JERKS do not have a chance to smile.
Regards,
Steve

Dozens of spam posts this morning, which doesn't reflect well on the company image to any visitors browsing.
The answer is to moderate new signups such that the first say 3 or 5 posts need to be approved before going live. That weeds out 99.9% of the problem at source.

Hi agree with Mooly, as long Acronis cannot handle to problem with a robot prevention - just as proposed to Anna.Anyway Anna said they are not bots but regular users, which is still hard to believe from my experience as a forum admin.
Likely most of the Acronis team is on season holiday already. If the spam continues till next year I think they will have a hard time to get things in control again.

One would think that the Acronis Company Image would be more important than it appears to be.
Since we are seeing forum spamming more frequently now and especially on the weekends, it appears that the "Acronis Company Image" is not as important as most customers feel it should be. Apparently not even worth a weekend "at home" moderator ? This makes me more concerned about their products.
Happy and Safe Holiday Season to all !

I have PM'd Anna several times and suggested once that they approve each new user's first post and ban the obvious spammer permanently. I frequent a forum that that uses this approach where I and other moderators do this. Works quite well to keep the forum claen to deal with real issues.

They should add the newest CAPTCHA system and there should also be a way to flag both threads and individual posts. If there is a certain number of unique flags, the post should get removed or at the very least the moderators and admins should be alerted.

They are now adding posts as updates to existing discussions rather than just creating new posts!
Acronis needs to have some form of active filtering looking at the subjects and text being posted rather than just relying on Captcha!

I'm a moderator over on another site (we have over a third of a million members) and approving posts for new signups is the only way (imo) to weed this kind of thing out. It kills 99% at the first attempt. Only very determined spammers will try and build their post count up, and they are usually obvious because they haven't a clue what they are talking about or they just try and post single words like 'yes' or 'agree'. Easily spotted, easily banned.

Here are some that need banning straight away:

As the thread title asks,
HELLO ACRONIS ? Are you monitoring your forums for Spam JERKS ?
the answer is abundantly clear. Not only are they not monitoring, they also have no effective mechanisim in place to stop this, and seemingly little desire to do so when such spam remains in place for hours (currently now approaching 1day) at a time.
I am sad to say that the excellently worded post by Andros Astonin seems to sum the whole situation up. Acronis used to be the name for backup software. A quick look at customer feedback on Amazon also confirms the current situation.

Acronis... What is really going on here ?
More and More spam posts and a constant flood of software problems.
Acronis needs to get with the program. Attention to detail in your software and your forums.
All the problems with your software and your support forums is sending a clear message that the company either does not care enough about their products and customers or they are simply unable or unwilling to fix the problems in a timely manner.
This is not a good situation and I suspect that this may be the start of a large scale dissatisfaction with the Acronis product line which can grow exponentially in a very short time.

3 spam topics on the 1st page of this forum almost 14 hours old.
Clearly if there are moderators in place to clear this crap, they are asleep or have lost interest enough to not care.
