High CPU usage by Managed Machine Service Mini
I have a lot CPU usage since today. When I checked it seems to be Managed Machine Service Mini from Acronis.
What does this service do and how can I avoid this? My laptop is getting hot!!

I am having the same problem, and at the time of this screenshot (5), the dashboard was not open. Screenshot 3 shows what was happening with my CPU while running a recovery of a file. I was running so hot that I cancelled the operation.

Christine, your screenshots show mixed levels of CPU usage but none of the tasks are using excessive amounts, i.e. the Acronis Managed Machine Mini task is showing 21.9% and 32.2% in the two images. As you were running a file recovery I would say that this is probably to be expected. What you haven't told us is where the file being recovered was stored, and in particular, if you were recovering from the Acronis Cloud or from a local drive (network or USB)?

I am having the same issue. Fan is constantly running since installing Acronis. CPU at 30-32% for the Managed Machine Service Mini service. I am not doing anything directly with Acronis right now, no restores or backup. Can I just disable the service until I need it? This is the only machine that I use it on.

You can disable the Managed Machine Service Mini however, if you are using the Dashboard in the applicaiton that feature will not function afterwards.
