Homegroup security

Thread needs solution

I have setup a Homegroup in Windows 10.
Shared documents on the backup destination computer "COMP1".
From the "server" "COMP2" I want to backup and run ATI from I can browse and create files/foldes on the destination computer "COMP1".

Now when I create a new "Backup Destination" in ATI "COMP2"I do get a "Authentication Settings" prompt. Asking for username and password!?

It does not help if I use COMP1\administrator &"password or COMP2\administrator & "password".

Why can I access the share via windows "File Explorer" without any problem with authentication prompts and I can read/write on the destination computer?

Please help! :-)

The Windows homegroup creation creates a homegroup password. I suspect it is that password that ATI needs to provide access. Windows itself generates this password. You can access the homegroup in the Control Panel and this should give you the option of viewing the homegroup password which you can print if desired.
